Easter Monday Members Clout Shoot 2018
Time to work off those Easter eggs
We're very pleased to be holding another members only Clout Shoot at the Blake End Ground on Easter Monday, 2nd April. Assembly 9am for a 9.30am start.
For those that haven’t shot or heard of a Clout before, this is where an archer aims and shoots at a flag on the ground known as “the clout” and at distances you will have not shot before. The Clout is a coloured flag on a wooden pole, only 50 cm or less from the ground. The scoring zones are circles positioned on the ground, surrounding the flag.
Gold: 5 points, Red: 4 points, Blue: 3 points, Black: 2 points, White: 1 point
The round consists of six ends of six arrows a total of 36 arrows.
Senior Gents (18yrs above) 180yrds
Senior Ladies 140yrds
Juniors 80 or 100yrds
All except for compound bows (sorry!), no sights, no clickers.
Depending on numbers we all shoot from the line at the same time, possibly with 2 details, and we all score and collect together. The Winner will be the person with the highest score after the 36 arrows.
Normal club shooting on this day will be suspended until after the Clout Shoot, which is approximately 1pm, or when we've found all the arrows.
